Conditions Of Attendance

We will gladly give you help and support in your effort to change the way in which you use alcohol, but ask you at all times, to abide by the Conditions of Attendance and to be familiar with the Health and Safety Policy and Fire Notice.

The project is only open to those who have been assessed at 9 Oxford Road and with whom a programme has been agreed.

9 Oxford Road is a dry house. You must be alcohol free on any day you attend the house and may be asked to supply a breath test if there is any question of your having consumed alcohol recently. If you fail the test or refuse to take it, you will be asked to leave, but to return when alcohol free.

If you appear to be under the influence of drugs you will also be asked to leave.

Any violence or threat of violence will result in your being discharged from the project.

9 Oxford Road is home to the residents during the period of their stay and we ask you to respect this by washing-up cups after your visit and refraining from using any part of the house designated "Residents Only".

We hope that you find the group and drop-in sessions useful, but we would ask you to limit your attendance to the times agreed and not visit when the house is unstaffed unless by prior arrangement with, and specific invitation by, a current resident.

If experiencing difficulties during evenings and weekends, you should contact the appropriate crisis/support services. Residents are here because of their own vulnerabilities and are not equipped to deal with other's problems; they also have clear directives not to pass on staff on-call numbers.

9 Oxford Road follows a policy of equal opportunities; discriminating remarks and behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in your being asked to leave if you are not prepared to modify your attitude or behaviour.

If you are not happy with any aspect of the project do discuss this with the Staff Team. If it remains unresolved or if this action is inappropriate write to:
